This celebration is meant to commemorate the Navajos who lived in the Navajo Mountain area and did not go on the Long Walk. It is held in the fashion of the old-style Navajo fairs, with foot races, horse races, etc. You won't find ferris wheels or roller coasters at this event... or maybe not yet.
