Hey I lived in and around Tucson, Az for over 28 years. I love it. Yes it gets HOT. Like well over 100 degrees. Once it was even 110 degrees maybe more. There are lot of things to do there though. The crime is high depending on where you live and where you go. The Foothills is a great area. Great schools, but really expensive. The North side has good neighborhoods and great schools again pricey. Northwet is pretty much the same but slightly lower in price. Just stay away from the South side at night, until you get used to the place. I lived in the west side which is great and low priced yet the schools lacked slighlty. So I put my son in a private school. There are lots of christian schools and private schools.
