This is the story of teachers as heroes during a tough time to be a teacher. In 2007, one teacher at Mitchell School in Phoenix, AZ set out to change her school. Little did she know she was starting a movement that would inspire others and change schools in Arizona and around the country. Along the way, the teachers at Mitchell have encountered no shortage of drama in and out of the school. The Mitchell 20 is a story of teachers and schools everywhere.

Global Gulen Movement & Schools Investigated ...

From Africa to Kazakhstan, a new Islamic network is attracting millions of followers - and millions of dollars. Inspired by a little-known Turkish Imam, the Gulen movement has more than a thousand schools in more than a hundred countries as well as thinktanks, newspapers, TV and radio stations, a university - and even a bank. The movement's critics claim it's determined to create a new Muslim empire. It's supporters say it's just the expression of a modern, business-friendly Islam committed to human rights and democracy. This documentary travels to Turkey to find out about the man who inspired what has become a global phenomenon - Fetullah Gulen. There they meets supporters and critics of the movement. They also talks to some of its most committed ambassadors - who are running its schools in Central Asia. Turkey's Gulen movement, which promotes service to the common good, may have grown into the world's biggest Muslim network. Is it the modern face of Islam, or are there more sinister undercurrents? www.bbc.co.uk Fethullah Gülen's Grand Ambition www.meforum.org
