Live at Arizona State University, October 2010, back in the days before Arizona White supremacists started shooting elected members of our federal government, before Anarchists started fighting Neo-Nazis in the streets in front of government buildings, this was my lecture about the governor ' s ban on ethnic studies classes being taught in public schools. Part of the environmental science movement has been a universal approach to human psychology that builds up from the universal foundation of human biology. Every culture is the result of human beings adapting to different situations. The assumption that one culture is the right one and every other culture is a variation on it can only lead to the oppression of minorities. Which is what our governor is supporting. www.newbookforanewworld.org
Part 1 of 10. Governor Jan Brewer of Arizona has banned ethnic studies classes in public schools with HB2281. But in recent years, psychologists and other scientists have been studying how cultures develop. This would make ethnic studies classes even better by starting from the universal foundation of human psychology, but it completely undermines the Euro-centric version of history.

Today, the Arizona State Board of Education met to decide officially whether to take over control of the Roosevelt School District. Tom Horne, the State Superintendent of Public Instruction, urged for a vote to relieve the democratically elected school board of its local authority to guide the District. Horne advocated for the Arizona State Department of Education to step in and manage the Roosevelt school District directly. However, after reviewing the recent AIMS results, it became clear that the Roosevelt school District has shown tremendous improvement under its own local control, and doesn't need the State's direct guidance at this time.
