The Arizona Mining and Mineral Museum, located 1 mile west of downtown Phoenix, has over 3000 minerals, rocks, fossils and mining artifacts in display. Arizona is the nation's number one mining state in the country with a value of non-fuel mineral productions. Over 23000 school children visit the museum each year.
