21 wonderful elementary school teachers from Mexico and Guatemala came to study at the U of A in Tucson, Arizona, for 11 months. They were student teachers at four Old Pueblo bi-lingual schools where students and staff came to be great friends with them. In July of 2010, they return to their homes to now make a difference in their classrooms, schools, communities and indigenous pueblos. I shall miss them terribly. I hope to travel to their schools to meet their students and see what I can do to bring them some supplies or new friends.
