Ombudsman Educational Services operates charter schools in addition to its school district partnership programs. Ombudsman currently operates charter schools in Arizona for students who are at risk of dropping out of school, who need additional credits or who need a shorter school day than public schools offer. Students can enroll in an Ombudsman Charter School at any time and earn their high school diploma in a personalized, safe, alternative environment. Charter schools are funded by the state and students attend free of charge. The Ombudsman Charter School program is aligned to state standards, ensuring that students learn and master the necessary skills and content knowledge they need to graduate. And, like other Ombudsman programs, Ombudsman Charter Schools offer students a flexible schedule, personalized instruction and computer-assisted learning that allows them to work at their own pace in a small learning environment.

School/District Achievement Labels -- are based on state and federal accountability systems and administered by the Arizona Department of Education -- they are based on how well a school and district as a whole do on meeting state standards. Arizona's workbook for the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) must be approved by the United States Department of Education. The state's systems are approved by the State Board of Education. There will be a dual school and district rating system in Arizona for the next 2 years with both letter grades and the old "legacy" labels -- then schools and districts will transition to just letter grades. This is based on state legislation that was passed last year.

Featuring: Red Tank Draw, Petroglyphs, Montezuma's Well and pictures of Sedona, Arizona and Shoshone-Yokut warrior artist, Black Eagle - www.warriorart.com. From my visit on July 6, 2009. Ancient Sinagua and or Anasazi Indians used this area to travel from the higher mountainous regions (today's Flagstaff area) to the more open and fertile Verde Valley. These ancient travelers left interesting petroglyph images along the cliff walls in various locations. Montezuma's Well is a sinkhole, a collapsed underground limestone cavern filled with water. More than a million gallons of water a day flow continuously, providing a lush, verdant oasis in the midst of surrounding desert grassland. Montezuma's Well is 368 feet across and 55 feet deep; it sits at an elevation of 3618 feet. Native peoples started living in the region about 2000 years ago. The last known native peoples to inhabit the Montezuma Well area were the Western Apache. Two small caves at the well show signs of Apache occupation, sometime after 1800. http To get to Red Tank Draw, take 17 North to Hwy 618. Go right (east) on 618 Creek is on left can see it when you cross over the third bridge just before Southwestern Academy sign. To see the petroglyphs, continue crossing over the creek, and take the first right. The dirt road runs into the parking lot. Park there, and follow the wide path to the right all the way to the petroglyphs. There are other trails to follow. Stay on the wide path! www.quickandeasycollegecredits.com These Arizona Universities and Colleges have certain loopholes in their tuition and college credit system that allow you to get full credit for specific courses by simply taking a test and spending about $150. Unfortunately, these schools don't advertise these loopholes. Instead, they charge students anywhere from $300-$400 or more per credit hour for 4 hour classes. At this rate, the average student ends up giving the school $1200-$1600 PER CLASS. Which ...
