Visiting the Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor, Oahu. "A day that will live in infamy" We must always pay tribute to those who lost their lives for our country. December 7th, 1941 must remain a solemn memory. If you travel to Oahu, be sure to pay your respects to those lost on that fateful day. The USS Arizona Memorial, located at Pearl Harbor in the City and County of Honolulu, Hawaii, marks the resting place of 1102 of the 1177 sailors killed on the USS Arizona during the Attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941. The memorial, dedicated in 1962 and visited by more than one million people annually, spans the sunken hull of the battleship without touching it.
